Our Executive Director

Hi and welcome to Minee Subee. I am Michele Katz, the Executive Director of the four Minee Subee facilities. My responsibilities include working with the Minee Subee directors on a daily basis to ensure the best programs and care for all of our children. For the past twenty-two years, I have worked in the Early Education and Care field. I have had experience working with children from newborn through twelve years. Our Private Kindergarten curriculum, which I developed, exceeds the standards that are met in the public schools. Minee Subee also has a wonderful summer camp program, of which I am the director.

My Bachelor’s degree is from National College of Education in Elementary Education, with a major in Psychology. I have also completed over thirty hours in the field of Early Childhood Education. In 1999, I received the Best Director of the Year Award from the Illinois Child Care Association. Recently, I completed the NAC (National Administrator Credential) through the National Child Care Association.

I serve on the Board of the Illinois Child Care Association, where I work diligently towards Early Childhood Advocacy. By being part of this organization, I am kept abreast of new and important issues in the Early Education and Care field.

I live in Buffalo Grove with my husband and my two sons.
