Dear Miss Judy, Miss Michele, and Miss Rachel:

It is difficult to believe that after nine years, I am no longer bringing on of my children to Minee Subee before heading to work in the morning. My younger daughter, Michelle, recently began public school. Although I am glad that Michelle is growing up and that there are so many exciting new experiences in store for her, in the last few weeks it is finally starting to sink in that Minee Subee is no longer a part of our daily lives.

It was a great nine years. I remember back to when I first dropped off our older daughter, Samantha, for her first day in the capable hands of Miss Ellen. How difficult that was! Over time, I grew to know and trust many of the staff members. I always felt that both of my children have been loved and well taken care of at Minee Subee. What a relief it was to know that I didn't struggle with the child care issues that some of my coworkers have had to deal with. Minee Subee has always been there for us, and has been the primary factor in my decision not to pursue other employment opportunities as long as my children were not of school age. I can look back and smile now at my worry when Michelle started coming to Minee Subee as an infant. She was moody, didn't sleep well, and refused to take a bottle. I was very worried about how the staff was going to be able to handle all this, and how they would feel about Michelle, but everyone was very reassuring right from the start. Sooner than I had thought, she was taking naps and drinking from a bottle, and she seemed very comfortable at Minee Subee.

My daughters always seemed to feel positively about the staff at Minee Subee, but I would like to commend two of your employees for what I feel is exemplary work: Miss Sun and Miss Jackie. Miss Sun is a warm, caring person who brings experience as a parent to her position at Minee Subee. She works wonderfully with the young threes age group. Michelle has told us numerous times that she loves Miss Sun, which is not a sentiment I would typically hear from either of my daughters, though I know that they always had positive feelings toward their caregivers. It was wonderful to know our children felt loved and well cared for in the Minee Subee environment.

Pre-K with Miss Jackie was an amazing experience. There were so many amazing things that occurred on a daily basis in the classroom. The environment was colorful, child-friendly, and there was always an interesting project or experiment going on. The children seemed to take ownership of these and be really excited about them. (i.e. the caterpillars and other science experiments). Miss Jackie's expert knowledge of preschool curriculum resulted in a well-balanced,quality preschool program that covered all areas of school readiness. Her consistency in teaching the Letterland program resulted in impressive learning, as we watched Michelle learn to blend sounds to read simple words and to write letters and numbers. I was surprised and thrilled during my conference with Miss Jackie in the spring when she presented me with Michell's portfolio. Begun by Miss Kristin the previous year, this was a thoughtful collection of work samples, anecdotes, and photographs. I especially appreciate the photographs, because it is difficult for us to obtain photographs of Michelle's daily activities when we work full-time. This portfolio gives us a sense of her progress and is a wonderful keepsake. Additionally, the Pre-K day seemed to be well-planned and structured, and Miss Jackie was able to foster a real sense of community among the children in the class. Through her regularly distributed newsletters, as well as notes on the board each day, I always felt that I knew what was going on in the classroom and what I could do to be a part of it. Miss Jackie is a talented teacher, and Minee Subee is fortunate to have her.

We have fond memories of Minee Subee, and we wanted to take this opportunity to thank owners and staff for these past nine years. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can ever be of assistance (referrals, speech-language inservicing, or anything else) to you in the future.

Michelle has been asking if she can visit Minee Subee. I am hoping to be able to bring her by for a visit sometime.

Now, for the hardest portion of this letter. When I first enrolled my family, I knew that one day they would not attend Minee Subee. As these six years have passed, I had forgotten that they would not always attend and felt Minee Subee would always be a part of our daily lives. Now that Camryn is going into first grade, I have decided to enroll her in private school to take advantage of the small classroom sizes versus the larger classroom sizes the public schools offer. Minee Subee has spoiled me! It is with deep emotion to inform you that our day has arrived, and the girls' last day will be August 23, 2006.

I cannot tell you how deeply grateful I am for your facility. There is absolutely no comparison. I have always spoken highly of Minee Subee and will continue to do so. I emphasize the fingerprint security system, the classroom layout, the appropriate aged curriculum (accreditation), the large grassy open playground (long live UPPY!), the infant rooms (sun rooms and infant "pool"), on site meals, bus transportation and the before/after school care etc. Most of all, I appreciate the cleanliness and the family involvement. No other educational center offers the services as Minee Subee, Inc. does and that is why parents will always come back to you.
